Lab Technician Schools
|
|
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences fully accredits 469 medical programs for medical and lab technicians. Students who attend lab technician schools may take classes in lab analysis, microbiology, and statistics. Many biomedical programs also offer courses in biomedical business, computer applications, and lab management. Since lab technicians often interact with medical patients and pathologists, it's very important that lab workers possess strong communication skills and sensitivity to patient needs. After graduating from lab technician school, students should be prepared for biomedical careers in physicians' offices, diagnostic laboratories, and hospitals.
